Official Bio:
Abby J. Reed writes young adult science fiction and fantasy novels that ask what if. She has a degree in English Writing and is drawn to characters with physical limitations due to her own neurological disorder called Chronic Migraine. Her debut novel, WHEN PLANETS FALL, will be published in April 2017 by Soul Mate Publishing.

Abby lives in Colorado with her husband and two fluffy pups. If her hands aren’t on the keyboard, they are stained purple and blue with paint.

Not-so-official Bio:

If I could buy you a cup of something warm while we chat over the cliched peaceful lake with snow-capped mountains hovering in the background, I would.

But since I can’t . . .

My debut novel, When Planets Fall, is coming April 2017 from Soul Mate Publishing. WHOO!! *Enter crazy happy dance*

I have a degree in English Writing and a grad certificate in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. (which means I am a certified spiritual director, though I do not actively practice.) I have a neurological disorder called Chronic Migraine, which pretty much makes me a professional migrainer. When I grow up, I want to be a mermaid at the Downtown Aquarium. Coolest job ever. (Though, I’m not sure how cool a migraining mermaid would be.) When jogging the creative juices and avoiding migraines, I’ll paint. You can find some prints of my work on Society 6 and originals here on my website.

I married the sexiest man alive. I’m from California; my DGH (demi-god husband) is from Delaware; we live in Colorado. Why did west meet east?

Randy Reed

Easy. I married him for his biceps.

And his dimples. I want my offspring to have dimples. We’ve had the rings on our fingers for five years.

We have two spoiled dogs that are pretty much my children. (AKA: I take too many pics of them and buy them too many toys).

I love to blog about fiction and the creative process and art. I’ll also throw out random encouragements for those who struggle with chronic pain.
